Participation in the presentation of a study “War and Education. Two Years of Full Scale Invasion” (10.02.2024, online/offline)
On February 10, 2024, the team from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine joined the presentation of the study “War and Education. Two Years of Full-Scale Invasion”, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The event took place in Kyiv and online. The study was organised by the international charitable foundation savED in collaboration with the research agency VoxPopuli Agency and the U-LEAD with Europe programme.
The study consisted of two main components:
- A representative nationwide survey of students aged 14 and older, their parents, teachers, school administrators, and local self-government representatives across all regions of Ukraine.
- An analysis of practical case studies on facilitating access to education in 15 communities across Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
The presentation took place in a hybrid format. Oksen LISOVYI, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with representatives of local communities, participated in a panel discussion on addressing the aftermath of the war in these areas. Meanwhile, Anna PUTSOVA, co-founder of savED, provided insights into digital educational centres and their role in restoring access to education.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, joined the presentation online and reviewed the study’s findings, which were actively disseminated among Ukrainian and international partners. This research is essential for educational institutions in identifying key priorities and opportunities for collaboration with international partners.
